Dez’Mon Omega Fair
Dez’Mon Omega Fair is a teaching artist and writer living in the Seattle, Washington Area. His practice explores themes of Art as Spirituality, synchronicity, and identity; through watercolor and ink on washi rice papers; novel sonics, that is, poetry and prose interlaced into soundscapes with video poetry collaborations and immersive, retrospective installations; and ceremonial body painting performances. His work has been shown all over the U.S. and abroad: The Williamsburg Brooklyn Public Library in New York City and La Galleria in A Coruña, España; Langston Seattle, in the annual Seattle Black Film Festival, and Wa Na Wari, installations and films screening in Bumbershoot, Method Gallery, and Cadence Video Poetry festival. Fair also facilitates Active Imagination, a workshop exploring expressive art, abstract watercolor painting, poetry writing, and performance as methods for developing social-emotional awareness.
